Chapter Two was a well formulated play. It was light, easy, enjoyable reading. The story follows two people (George and Jennie) who have both loved and lost. George's wife has died and Jennie and her husband divorced. The two meet in a comical scene when George calls the wrong number. From then on the play takes a more serious turn as the characters get a second chance at love. All in all, a feel good story about starting over.
This play touched me in a very special way.

This play is a very special play to me. I did a monologue of Jenny's for a class project and it really made me feel something. This is the first and only Neil Simon play that I've read and I can't wait to read more of his works. This is an emotional play that speaks from the heart and makes you realize that life is worth living. For anyone who is a big Neil Simon fan, read this book and I guarantee you will enjoy it.
