Lindholm examines the careers of Charles Manson, Hitler, and Jim Jones. Various theories of charisma are examined. Scholarly yet readable. Charisma is an important modern phenomenon. One criticism- all the examples of charismatic personalities are negative. This may have something to do with Lindholm's theory of charisma.
