Reviewed by Cayden Aures (age 5) and Mom for Reader Views (7/09) In "Cheech y el Autobus Fantasma," Cheech is a school bus driver. When his bus stops in a graveyard, the children that get on are not ordinary students, they are ghosts. Cayden: "I like scary books! This one was in Spanish so I didn't know some of the words, but we looked up the ones that we didn't know. We could kind of tell by the pictures in the book what was going on too, like when they dressed up to scare the ghosts. I learned some new Spanish words in this book." Parent's comments: When I think of children's book authors, actor Cheech Marin is not a person who would come to mind. However, we found "Cheech y el Autobus Fantasma," to be entertaining and a good test of my Spanish language knowledge. Both my child and I learned some new words as the ones that we did not know we looked up. Scary books are always a hit in this house and this one was no exception!
