Chilton's Total Car Care Repair Manual

Great book but has too much generalizations. I was interrested mostly in the mazda millenia. It contains great information about some repairs but not all. I thought i could find a parts list for the car so that i can be able to know what exactly to order when needed.This is not the case.so i was disappointed. It does however cover topics such as location of fuel pump and how to replace.etc.More of a general car repair manual

I am using this manual as a technical reference for the auto (1992 Mazda MX-3) I am about to convert to an all electric vehicle. The information contained within this manual gives me all the understanding, techniques and trouble shooting procedures I need for my project. From the how to of removing the engine, exhaust, and fuel systems, to the schematics describing the engine and support systems electronic wiring, to the recommendations for service and maintenance of the chassis components, to the technical specification describing the vehicle, I have found all the information I need. this manual was exactly what we needed to local a serious problem we were experiencing with a 1998 Mazda we inherited. The car did not come with a manual, therefore, it was very important to locate one for the year, make and model. We were able to locate the problem and show our machanic and have it repaired. Our machanic was able to use this manual in repairing the car.... The car is driving well and if in the future we have anymore "mystery" problems this manual will be worth it's weight in gold.

This book is an excellent resource for the semi-mechanically inclined. With well organized tables, step by step instructions and pictures for every maintenance task. The table of contents is well laid out with an index at the beginning of every chapter to get you directly to the project you need. The troubleshooting section is very descriptive, laid out in a table that makes it easy to get right to the problem. Having this book has not only enabled me to test and repair problems with my car, saving me money, but allowed me to read about those tasks that I did not have the time to fix myself so I when I had to talk to the mechanic I was sure that I was getting what I was paying for.
