The dolls are especially nice for cloth and the patterns could be used for any doll this size..........especially if you can tweak them for the exact doll.

A beautiful and completely satisfying publication. I especially appreciate the small details that truly make these dolls "classic".
Beautiful handmade cloth dolls

I wanted to make a cloth doll that a child would be able to play with and love. I don't have much experience at that so I checked into instruction books. What made this one stand out to me was the picture on the cover. These dolls have such beautiful faces. This is definitely not a book for beginners. You need to have some experience at sewing, and being able to draw is a plus, as the facial features are drawn right on to the fabric. I found the instructions clear and fairly easy to follow. It took time and patience, but the doll turned out beautiful. I recommend this to anyone with a background in sewing. fiber arts, and/or general art.
