I first found this book at the library..I had to have it...I am not sure it is even still in print. The photos are not perfectly clear (like we're used to these days) BUT for those who are interested in Italian Garden design and actually read gardening books instead of looking at the pictures, this is a wonderful small reference paperback. It is not flashy at all. I believe the people working on this book had gained access to many private, ancient and not so ancient, gardens...It always transports me back to my visits in one of the worlds most beautiful countries........ beautiful land, food and people!
