U. Mertz compiled quite a bit of information on many different types of composition dolls. It's not a exhaustive that ends all ends all, but most doll books aren't. I have collected many books on doll collecting as a hobby, as a seller, and even on repairing dolls on the mend.
This encyclopedia on American Composition Dolls belongs on most doll collectors, don't count on the valuations being up to date. Even though it can give you a round about price if your in the market to purchase a doll or just curious about something you have already.
