Great book, but raises certain philosophical questions

Do we really know what colors are? Are they inherent in animals, or are they dependent on the reality we construct based on our own human anatomy? Can we really teach colors? Is a cockatoo white to everybody? Is a macaw really blue? I don't know, and Melanie Watt doesn't know. And is multicolored really a color? Indeed not. Still, since we much live in this world, this constructed reality we share and on which we agree, in order to work and love together, I accept Ms. Watt's premise, and besides, my daughter really loves this book.
