Combat Nurses of World War II

This is a book by Wyatt Blassingame. It describes the lives of the brave nurses who risked their lives to save others. The book tells in great detail what wonderful lives they led. There is a chapter for every country where these heroic women helped save the lives of thousands.I learned how the war affected them. It was (besides being a tradition)a requirement that every hospital have a Christmas tree, be it merely a limb cut from a leafless juniper. Wherever they were, and whatever the circumstances, they always tried to keep a stiff upper lip.In fact, the book states that two thirds of the healing of their patients lies in the nurses' cheerful attitude.
