This was a fantastic hostorical romance. I ate up every book that Beverly put out that had anything to do with Native Americans, love, and adventure. I constantly check to see if she has put any more like this one out!

Even though this is a fictional book, I think this has taught me so much about the life of the Native American people during this period of time. It did not list facts or events, but instead, it made me see this part of history was very real. I could feel the fear of these people fleeing from the armies as well as the change that they wwent throught, and I began to understand that these people were real, with thoughts and emotions.
