Excellent detailed overview

I totally disagree with the previous reviewer who gave 2 stars, this book is well structured and flows nicely, and the frequent citations in the text are to be expected in an academic textbook. The introductory foundations chapters are especially excellent, and the coverage throughout is appropriate to a comprehesnive overview. Yes, the book is a bit dense at times, but it would be hard to cover this much material without some occasional density. Highly recommended.
