unlike the other two reviews here I actually read the book! There is no damsel in distress in this book, which the other two reviewers mention. This prompts me to believe they never read it, or are thinking of the wrong book. Ok, lets get down to it; this book was written by Sprauge and Carter and there is no Howard input at all. But these two authors are masters at copying Howards style and they do a good job! I like the fact that the book is split up into four different stories. Each quarter has its own feel and story line. But all four stories lead up perfectly to the final showdown between Conan and his greatest foe! This book needed to be written to bring closure to these two giants conflict. Howard never got a chance to write it. Probably not as great as Howard could have done but none the less a great closure to the feud...and well written!
