It should be used and abused

I used this book as an ESL teacher in South Korea. I taught middle school students and loved the exercises the book presented. The book gives you, the teacher, a lot of flexibility in teaching English. For example, you could read the socially relevant and interesting short stories outloud and then used the sections in the back to see if they understood the words and concepts. Or, you could read the story and discuss the cultural aspects of it. Many students had opinions on the short stories and this helped create dialogue and dialogue is practing English!For the student, there's a lot of exercises to complete. The level of work the book is geared for is middle school and above. Adults with limited English skills should enjoy the book.
