Decoupage for the 90's - best book in a long time!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 27 years ago
This is the book I reach for when I want inspiration for my decoupage projects! Solid information on technique (including updated bits on working with photocopies & the newest crackle mediums and the like), and then we're off on a tour of wonderful projects with a contemporary flair - handcolored jelly mold prints on a kitchen wall, bright animal shapes in a child's room, a chili pepper bowl, an outer space briefcase. My personal favorite is the cabinet which combines botanical illustrations with beautiful handwritten letter fragments - a very hot look at the moment! The book even comes with several black and white sheets which are ready for you to photocopy (including the aforementioned handwriting & botanical drawing). There are also many suggestions for finding useful subject material. If you're new to decoupage, this book will get you started; if you've been at it a while, it will set your brain a-buzz with ideas!
