The Cooking Light Way to Cook celebrates the philosophy that all foods have a place in a healthful diet. The keys are moderation and balance, and this highly visual book shows you how to prepare those... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I actually ordered this book for myself and my son for Christmas. I'm a pretty good basic cook but am always interested in tips on how to lighten up my recipes and make them healthier. The book comes with many tips and illustrations on all types of cooking and techniques and is easy to follow. While it doesn't have the huge volume of recipes that come in a standard cookbook, it gives you the knowledge to adapt recipes from other sources competently.
Love it!

I've been a fan of Cooking Light for a number of years, and this cookbook only reinforces my opinion. This is not a cookbook of recipes - though of course there are recipes included - but rather it is a book of the "ways to cook": how to steam, poach, bake, etc, all manner of things. Wonderful book!
Don't love to cook, but I LOVE this book

I'm a novice in the kitchen and healthy eating is important to me. I love that this has an abundance of recipes, contains beautiful photos & teaches me quite a bit. I've already toasted almonds & made dumplings. I recommend it, especially to those who still have a thing or two to learn in the kitchen.
A cook's delight

I gave this book as a gift to a person who loves to cook and does a great deal of it. She said it was amazing. It has everything an experienced cook needs to know as well as a novice cook.
