Corporate Crime Under Attack is not the only text on corporate crime, but it is a good one, and it adds a few features that are not commonly found in similar texts. Culet et. al includes a history of the evolution of the corporation that helps to explain why corporate crime is so complicated. While many texts simplify the battle against corporate crime, Cullen et. all adds more than the usual amount of depth with its discussion of the role of media in the battle against corporate crime. While some texts bemoan the lack of impact that anticrime movements have had, Cullen et. al is not so pessimestic. For these, and many other reasons, this is a valuable book. A SPECIAL WORD TO SOCIOLOGY AND CRIMINOLOGY STUDENTS: Notice what I wrote about the unique features of this book and notice that it currently must be purchased used. If your university does not require this as a text, then it might be an excellent resource to add to your research.
