A stalker who wants to finish what he started. A US Marshal who's vowed to protect his charge. And one woman who is determined to put the past to in the past.
Flight paramedic Raina Price has been running so long it's hard to stop. To escape a dangerous stalker, she changed her name and disappeared, building a new life with the help of a friend from her time in juvie. It feels good to put her energies into saving people's lives, but because her stalker was never found, she's never stopped looking over her shoulder. And one can only run so far before the past finally catches up.
US Marshal Vincent Corelli's job is to hunt down fugitives and protect those who are assigned to him. When Raina is almost killed right in front of him, he vows to protect her at all costs--whether it's his job or not. Together they work to solve the mystery of Raina's past. But someone is out to make sure Raina doesn't live long enough to do it.
Countdown is the breathless conclusion to USA Today bestselling author Lynette Eason's thrilling Extreme Measures series.
This is a Clean Romantic Suspense, and this is the fourth book in the Extreme Measure series. I have read the first and third book in this series before picking this book, but I do think you could read this book as a standalone. This is a very fast paced book with a ton of action and suspense with a little bit of romance mixed into it. I loved all the action and the characters in this book. There is a mixed police and medical stuff going on in this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
Action Packed

The final book in the Extreme Measure series brings us to Raina Price, a flight EMT who has been hiding from her past. Vince Covelli, a US Marshal, and friend of Raina's takes on the roll of protection when she is targeted by a possible serial killer from her past.
Through plot twists and turns and edge of your seat action, Raina and Vince are literally on a run for their lives while trying to bring the person trying to kill Raina to justice. Friendship, trust and relying on God are some of the main themes of this book. A fitting conclusion to a great series.
nice finale to the series

Another solid offering from Lynette Eason. I loved getting to know Raina and Vincent better and it was a lot of fun catching up with the other main characters from this series. As always, there was plenty of nail-biting suspense and action with surprising plot twists, as well as strong faith threads. The sweet tender romance between Raina and Vince was a friends-to-more trope and even though Raina has a lot of baggage, Vince patiently pursued her. Faith lessons of trusting God to be in control were relatable and relevant.
If you enjoy romantic suspense, you will definitely enjoy this book and series. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

Countdown by Lynette Eason is the fourth book in her Extreme Measures series. Raina Price, a flight paramedic, is being stalked by someone from her past. US Marshal Vince Correlli is trying to help. The stalker will go to extreme measures to get what he wants. It’s up to Vince and Raina to bring him to justice before it’s too late. This was an edge of your seat thriller. I couldn’t put the book down! The characters just seemed to mesh so well with each other.
I received this arc copy from LibraryThing for my honest review.
A great conclusion to an exciting series!

“I think that’s where faith comes in. We just have to trust that God is still in control even when it looks like he isn’t and we don’t understand why he does or doesn’t do something.” She squeezed his fingers. “Easier said than done.”“Yep.”
You'll want to read this one with the lights on. Countdown is an intense suspense novel filled with twists, turns and elusive suspects that pop up like whac-a-moles.
I really loved Raina's character; she was kind, thoughtful and selfless in everything she did. She made a great flight paramedic and an even better friend.
U.S. Marshal Vincent (Vince) Corelli was a brilliant supporting character and protector to Raina and her medical team. His job sounded both seriously dangerous and amazing!
Honestly, this is my new favorite book of Lynette's with Crossfire being a close second! I hate to see this series end, but can't wait to see what other ideas she has up her sleeve lol!
I received a complimentary e-book from the publisher through Netgalley to review.
I was not required to write a positive review, and the thoughts above are my own.
