Grit Lit at its best.

Author Chris Offutt will tear your heart and then mend it. Author had not written a novel in 20 years. THEN he writes the perfect book about a family living in the hills of Appalachia. The father Tucker who returns home from Korea is an character study in what a real man is like. Marrys a young women from the hills. All the characters especially the children with their physical problems will steal your heart. THIS IS NOT A PRETTY NOVEL... Southern grit lit at its best. I guarentee you a good read.
