I purchased this book for a class I am taking and now plan on keeping the book for future references. It has a lot of useful information and many websites listed in it to help plan lesson plans from preschool through elementary. I will use it in the future just as a refreshner on classroom organization and to help re-develop yearly lesson plans.

Just A Little Pricey...But Excellent

Mayesky balances theory, standards, and practicality in her book by organizing it like a house. She builds up the discipline from the ground (what is creative arts in early childhood) to the unique, but unnecessary, touches (applying early childhood creative arts for holidays). It's expensive, but worth the price. Vocational schools that offer early child development training use this text.
