Cooking fare for grownups doesn't make the grade when parents are hosting a party for kids. Alison Boteler, famous for her original imaginative foods and crafts ideas, is here to the rescue!... This description may be from another edition of this product.
(I couldn't believe this book didn't have a review...I borrowed it from the library for a bit of reminiscing about the fun I used to have with my, now big, daughters' parties, and it's such fun I want a copy!) There are twelve fabulous themed parties, some usual, and some a little out of the ordinary, like the cruise party. Its strength is in the simplicity of the props and themed food, while creating a total experience. Everything is covered: invitations, decor, games, food, atmospheric props, take-home stuff, costumes and photo opportunities. It's all very effective and SO easy. The ice cream koalas and icecream volcano cake are inspired. (The Australian party had some strange information, but it still worked well as a theme, good enough to use here in Oz.)
