Uva de Arag n was born in Havana in 1944 and resides in Miami. She was deputy director of the Cuban Research Institute (CRI) at Florida International University (FIU), where she served as a professor. For many years she was a columnist for Diario Las Am ricas. He has published in all genres and his titles include Morir de exilio, El caim n ante el mirro and the novel Memoria del Silencio.


Through the chronicles presented in this book, the author offers a profound and objective look into the history of the Cuban Republic from 1902 through 1958.
