Investigative Services Branch (ISB) ranger Ainsley Beaumont arrives in her hometown of Natchez, Mississippi, to investigate the murder of a three-month-pregnant teenager. While she wishes the visit was under better circumstances, she never imagined that she would become the killer's next target--nor that she'd have to work alongside an old flame.
After he almost killed a child, former FBI sniper Lincoln Steele couldn't bring himself to fire a gun, which had deadly and unforeseen consequences for his best friend. Crushed beneath a load of guilt, Linc is working at Melrose Estate as an interpretive ranger. But as danger closes in on Ainsley during her murder investigation, Linc will have to find the courage to protect her. The only question is, will it be too little, too late?
Award-winning author Patricia Bradley continues her Natchez Trace Park Rangers series with a story about how good must prevail when evil just won't quit.
"Bradley creates a sweet, slow-building romance in which she weaves fascinating details of the lives of park rangers. With several plot lines involving different mysteries, Crosshairs will surprise readers until the very end."--Booklist
Crosshairs by Patricia Bradley is the third book in her Natchez Trace Park Rangers series. ISB ranger Ainsley Beaumont returns to her hometown to investigate the murder of a teenager. While working the case with Lincoln Steele, Ainsley ends up in the crosshairs of the murderer. Can Linc protect her against this unseen threat? Wow, this book was action-packed. You never knew what was coming next, and the twist at the end was such a surprise! I love a story where the author can surprise you; and this one did not disappoint!

I can honestly say Patricia Bradley is my favorite mystery author for books written in the South. I love the way she portrays the people, the scenery, and just our culture as Southern people. Makes me feel right at home with her books.
Crosshairs is the third installment in her Natchez Trace Park Rangers series, and let me tell you, it was epic! With every book, the action just dials up even more!!
I like how ISB ranger Ainsley Beaumont is portrayed realistically, and with flaws. She does her job well, and cares about the victim's families she is investigating for. She cares for her great aunt, who was mysteriously injured while working on her book depicting a real life family mystery. She has relationship & trust issues with both her dad, and her former boyfriend Lincoln Steele, but that pales in comparison to what's going on now. Ainsley finds out someone is stalking her, but she doesn't know who or why. What she does know, however, is that no one near her is safe.
Lincoln Steele is a former FBI agent with trauma issues, and is now working a job as a Natchez Trace Park interpretive ranger and investigator, giving tours of historical Southern mansions to tourists. He and Ainsley have a painful past, and find they must investigate a suspected murder case together in spite of that. Will they find the past can be mended, or will they get hurt again?
I received this book free from the publisher, courtesy of Interviews and Reviews for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

CROSSHAIRS (Natchez Trace Park Rangers Book #3)
By: Patricia Bradley
Publisher: Revell
This is a stand-alone book in the Natchez Trace Park Rangers Series, book 3. There's a lot of drama and mystery involved.
ISB Ranger Ainsley Beaumont has come to her hometown to investigate the death of a popular teen girl. There are several factors that crop up, that she has to address before she can get to the investigation.
I haven't read the previous books in this series, but there were no issues with getting to know the main characters and figuring out their personalities and shared history.
Many thanks for the complimentary copy of #Crosshairs from #Revell @Revell #BakerPublishingGroup @BakerPublishingGroup I was under no obligation to post a review.
