Tim Serey's authoritative book answers all your questions about cruising. Saving money, finding a travel agent, deciding where to cruise, choosing what to pack--the Cruise Doctor covers it all! This description may be from another edition of this product.
I bought this book after reading the reviews, and was surprised to see it for sale in our ship's gift store. It is a frank discussion and specifics about what to do and not do as tips that people who take cruises need to hear. If you want a book that provides in-depth advice about the minute details of which cruise line or ship to take, see your travel agent. On the other hand, if you want a book that will save you money, and learn the behind the scenes realities of making a smart cruise purchase decision - it is "priceless." At least, that was the strong consensus of the 10 people who discussed it at our cruise table dinner.

This book relates cruise info and advice -- things that travel agents usually do not tell you. In my opinion, it is especially important to read if you book cruises over the internet. Well worth the $$$$.
A prescription for cruise preparation and enjoyment.

I read and enjoyed this book immensely. But more than being simply easy to read and comprehend, it will ultimately save me a few dollars and, much more importantly, it will save me a lot of time. I normally spend lots of time in calling and re-calling the travel agent because I didn't know the right questions to ask on the first call. This book will help me in planning my trip and, further down the line, it will help in my packing for the cruise. I, like most other travelers, tend to overpack and never use most of what I bring, this alone makes the book worth the price, which is pretty reasonable in itself. It is well organized and logical in it's approach to cruising.Dr. Serey has certainly authored an excellent, readable reference to getting the maximum enjoyment out of one of the most expensive of all vacation exeriences, a cruise.
Great info on cruising

I have been on at least 15 cruises on different cruise lines. Theexperience I gained from each cruise helped me prepare for thenext. Reading Tim Serey's 'Cruise Advice 101' made me realizethat reading it first would have made it much easier to choose which cruise to take, how to prepare, what to expect, etc. rather than experiencing cruising on my own. Of particularbenefit were the 'Cruise Doctor Insights' which provide hints that are beneficial to first time or experienced cruisers.Highly recommended for all cruise enthusiasts. - RS -
Great cruise advice book!

Cruise Advice 101 by "The Cruise Doctor" is an informative and well written book. It gave me information that I was not aware of and wish I had known prior to my first cruise. It will tell you what you need to know to book the right cruise for you, what to take with you, how to deal with "sticky" issues such as tipping or getting a dining change, what to pack, as well as health and safety issues. I can't wait to book another cruise and will take Cruise Advice 101 with me.
