My kids 5 and 2 love Curious George. This book is no exception. They love to read it, look at it, carry it around, ... As always, it is a cute story that includes a little mischief that all works out in the end. Thanks.

George and the Man with the Yellow Hat are off to the grand opening of a brand new toy store! They excitedly wait in line and, of course, curious George isn't content to just *stand* there! He sneaks through the crowd and enters the store amid the protest of the store owner ("this is no place for a monkey!"). George is dazzled by all the toys--checkers, slinkies, hula hoops--and begins playing with them. The bystanders get in on the act, and George ends up getting toys off the shelf for the customers. Needless to say, George was very good for business! Based on the stories by Margaret and H.A. Rey, Curious George Visits a Toy Store is illustrated by Martha Weston. The simplicity and amusing story is definitely within keeping of the Rey's, although her illustrations are often a bit heavy on the black charcoal. However, this is a great story that George enthusiasts will no doubt love.
