This episode is set in Black Hills,Dakota Territory,1859. Fargo comes to the aid of a small settlement of prospectors who are just holding on by the skin of their teeth.Hollis Blackburn,is intent on taking over their land and claims;using any method he likes,pestilence,murder,starvation,massacre and even laying his evil deeds upon the resident Indian tribe. Unless Fargo can get the Doctor and his nurse to join him with medicine and expertise,and face both outlaws and Indians in attempting to reach the village;it seems the disease that has been transmitted to them;will wipe out the villiage. This results in a fast action story with pleanty of interesting characters and odds of success which appear overwhelming;but you know our hero is going to come out on top;regardless of what is thrown at him. There is not much in the way of historical content,the conversation is not particularly colorful;nevertheless it is a good saga.
