This is a fantastic series.I hated for it to end. I am hoping there is another in this series.Who ever compared this to Anita Blake wasn't kidding.I think it is better then the last few Anita Blake books and I have read all of them.Lots of action that keeps you reading to see what happens next.There is a little romance in it too.

The book is very cool, and so is the whole series really. If you like Vampire books combined with action from other species such as lycans, witches you will like this series.

I love this series and though I wish some of the story lines would pick up the pace a little, I have hope that they will continue to unfold in the sequels. Love the characters and stories.
Vampires done right

We've had a bit too much of the "urban fantasy" vampire with no real fangs. Drake's world is darker and less mundane. Her heroine faces danger, loss, and slim chances in a believable way. Highly recommended.

The naturi are preparing the end game assault with a special sacrifice that will destroy the barrier between them and the human-nightwalkers. Once Rowe completes the portal, his spouse the queen Aurora will lead her race as they cross over to devastate both species. The only hope for humanity and the nightwalkers resides with Mira, who has special skills especially with the use of fire. However, she is realistic as she knows the odds are heavily against her unless an alliance is forged as has occurred between her and the vampire slayer Danaus. However they have new hope when they capture naturi Princess Cynnia who insists she opposes her sister's plan for the apocalypse. The third Dark Days urban fantasy (see DAYHUNTER and NIGHTWALKER) is a terrific action-packed entry that is driven by partners forced into what both believe is an unnatural partnership. The characters make the story line feel genuine as Mira the fire starter vampire and Danaus the vampire hunter need to team up or lose to the naturi. With treason from within their ranks and seemingly within the nature, Jocelyn Drake complicates her overarching theme tenfold in what is turning into a magnificent saga. Harriet Klausner
