This is probably the most thought provoking series of books I have ever read. We are so blessed and take so much for granted! I could not put this book down. I had to keep reminding myself that this is fiction and yet this family could so easily be my own. One warning I would give is this is not a light and fluffy book. It is heavy stuff!
Fantastic Finish!

I was able to pre-order this book, because I knew it had to be a grand ending for the series. I would say "I wasn't disappointed" but in some ways I was, however, it is a great story. I hate it when people write a review that gives away the ending, I refuse to do that. I will just say this was another well written story that wasn't predictable. Everything else I want to say about the story would give away the ending, but I will say this whole series was a wake up call to how dependent we are on the technology around us. I've thought many times since I started this series, what would it be like if we did see a global "blackout" of all our electronics. How would I fair having to learn to survive in the type of situation that was spelled out in this story. [...]

Terri, I must say first how much i have enjoyed your books. there is not one of them I would rate lower than a 5 star. in my opinion i would rate them all 10 star. thank you so much for good reading. this book Dawn's Light i could not put it down. It was so enlightening to read about people like ourselves and how they deal with such tregdy and remain so faithful to our Heavenly Father. and as we all do often is question GOD as to why. the ending of this book is worth more than a billion words to our hearts and faith in Jesus. it is a must read for sure. the suspense is such a page turner and leaves you refreshed and as well asking yourselve what would u do in the curcumstances. the mother and father Kay and Doug are such a good example to young parents. thank you so much . when does the next series comes out. i wish you could write them as fast as we read them. waiting for more of your writting.

I've greatly enjoyed following Blackstock's series. It's had lots of suspense and great interactions between typical family members & neighbors. It's been especially interesting to see her treatment of the total loss of electricity theme. Two other CBA authors (at least) have written novels on this theme: Larry Burkett's *Solar Flare* and Jim Kraus' *The Silence*. All of them have a different story to tell but I always enjoy seeing what authors will do with very similar themes. In this fourth and final volume, the end of the blackout is in sight. But humans being capable of what they are, the end of troubles is definitely NOT. Deni Branning, the older daughter, will have to choose (again) between ex-fiance Craig and hometown boyfriend Mark Green. And some very sad times are ahead for the Brannings just when they thought it would be OK. If you've read any of the others, you'll have to get this one!
