If you are visiting the Bozeman area in the near future - this is a must have resource if you are going to hike. The information is mostly up to date, one note when the book says the rode is rough on the way to the trail, you may want to have a car than can handle mud and bumps and bad roads. In other words, leave the rental car that is front wheel drive and subcompact for the easy roads. Good book - JVD

This well researched book has many excellent short hikes in the Bozeman area including Bear Canyon, Galatin Valley and Paradise Valley. The book includes hikes to waterfalls, mountain lakes and of course, the wonderful Hyalite Canyon area.
