I bought this book while we were traveling. I thought that it would pass the time, and it did. The books atmosphere is great. There is great dialogue which seems like you really are in North Carolina. It is a good mystery that leaves a lot of people dead and has a very twisted ending. I couldn't figure it out, but I am not a detective either. The book runs smoothly and makes you want to read it through out the day. I hope it comes back in print because my copy is ageing.
