Book Overview

A Journey Through Grief
Grief is a profound and intricate journey, unique to each individual and ever-changing with time. In "Death is Nothing at All," you are invited to explore this complex emotion through an illustrated ode to sorrow, resilience, and healing.

An Extended Tribute
This beautifully crafted book is an extended version of the well-known poem "Death is Nothing at All," enriched with additional excerpts from Henry Scott Holland's poignant sermon, "King of Terrors." It serves as both a tribute to those who have departed and a comforting companion for those grappling with the challenging aftermath of loss.

A Dialogue of Comfort
Through an evocative dialogue between the living and the deceased, "Death is Nothing at All" navigates the shifting emotions that arise when deeply cherished connections are severed, offering invaluable comfort and support.
This book does more than acknowledge the pain of grief; it aims to uplift and inspire hope within the mourning. As readers journey through its pages, they will find solace in the understanding that grief is not just an ending, but a complex manifestation of love.
"Death is nothing at all. It doesn't count. I have only slipped away into the next room."
Let the words and illustrations bring comfort, inspire healing, and remind you that while loss may leave a void, it also deepens our capacity for love and remembrance.

A Thoughtful Gift
Consider sharing this heartfelt book as a gift for someone who is navigating their journey of grief. It is a gentle reminder that they are not alone, and it may provide the comfort and hope they need during difficult times.

It Says It All

Recently, I had attended a memorial service where I heard a speaker reading lines "in the next room." When I had asked the speaker for the name of the work, writer, he didn't know, only that he and his wife had heard these lines several years ago at a funeral. It took some research, but I'm so glad I found this. The words express so well the sentiment and bring comfort for those of us left behind.

Inspiration and comfort

This little book provides such a comforting view of death. I gave this to my mother who was in the terminal stage of her illness, and she felt it expressed her view exactly. I bought a copy for everyone in the family and even a few friends who had recently lost loved ones. Mom wanted this read at her service, and it provided comfort and inspiration to everyone. The only complaint I have is that it leaves off two crucial lines at the end of the passage; in order to be more "universal" the reference to being one in Christ was not included. Overall, though, a real treasure.

A timeless message of hope for those in despair

A simple message of hope and love during what has to be a period of tremendous loss and grief for any one who loses a loved one. Accompanied by beautiful, yet simple, illustrations, that convey the tone of Canon Henry Scott Hollands' message-that there is life after the loss of a loved one- that you do move on with your life. This is a comforting and moving piece of prose for anyone who is dealing with the death of a loved one. It is a fine example of the work of Canon Henry Scott Holland. I highly reccomend this book!
