David Dickinson is only the second author (behind J.K. Rowling) that keeps me stumped until the very end. "Lord Powerscourt" is a facinating character. Although he's aristocracy, he's a down-to-earth man. He's learned, compassionate and witty. David Dickinson also gives you a history lesson while you're reading. Only he does it better than others. He weaves fact in with the fiction to give the reader a real sense of the times in which "Lord Powerscourt" lives. It makes for a wonderfully colorful backround to the mystery. I highly recommend any of Dickinson's "Lord Powerscourt" books.
