I loved the many gorgeous photos in this book. It had great directions for all the crafts. The pictures are wonderful for getting ideas for your own house. It is my favorite Christmas idea boook!

Pretty to look at !

I have found that Martha Stewart books are to be viewed rather than used as a basis for trying to make anything because her instructions and recipes are often convoluted and/or incorrect. I just do not understand why, with her vast resources, Martha does not hire better and more thorough editors and testers. So now I just look at her books for the visual pleasure they bring me! That way I avoid any frustration associated with implementation. And this one gave me lots of beautiful things to look at: the fruit wreath, the silvery pine cones, the beautifully done petits fours, the handmade ornaments, the gorgeous cookies. Even if the directions were perfectly clear, I know I still would not make many of these things...but a gal can dream, can't she?
I wish that it was Christmas soon

What a stunning book! The photographs are truly inspirational. Martha has put together a collection of decorating ideas that look effective but are still easy to do. Although my copy of the book arrived too late for last Christmas, I am already planning projects for next season.
a gorgeous book with ideas and text to savour

This is the most beautiful Christmas decorating book I've ever seen. The ideas are extremely sophisticated, the writing puts you in a holiday mood, and the photography is breathtaking. I especially loved the unconventional Christmas colors -- lemon yellows, pale turquoise blues, and an entire chapter on shimmering silvers and golds. Who needs Coca-Cola red and hunter green?
