My first romance novel

I read this for the first time my freshman year old highschool. It was steamy and dangerous with a hint of mystery. Then it landed on my shelf. 24 year old me thought I would never read it again and donated to a local thrift shop. 34 year old me decided I needed to give this book one last chance. It delivered. I told my husband that it will now have a permanent place on my shelf. But for those. Who read these there is a bit of a trigger warning on some of the content.
