TRAITORS, CAPTIVES, AND A PEOPLE'S REVOLUTION The third volume of the CAT ROYAL ADVENTURE series takes readers to Paris on a covert mission. The Theater Royal is closed for renovations, so Mr. Sheridan commissions Cat to act as his spy in revolutionary Paris. Disguised as a ballerina, Cat joins the revolution, only to find that it is up to her to save her friends when they are captured as traitors. Like the previous two books in the series, The Diamond of Drury Lane and Cat Among the Pigeons , Den of Thieves is filled with disguises, danger, drama, and, most of all, the irrepressible Cat Royal.
I have read the cat royal books before this one and loved all of them. This one was no exception. Cat is just as spunky as ever and and she is starting to grow up. She has a love interest. And of course there is the fact that every type of gang leader takes an interest in her, good or bad. The story starts off with Drury Lane closing down and Cat is left stranded. It's interesting but not the most important part of the story. However it quickly goes to Cat getting sent off to France in the middle of the French rebellion. There she makes some new friends and a very dangerous enemy. Julia Golding also includes the humor that is in all of the other books.
