Easy to read and practical

I am a resident of dermatology, for my tests i have to read the hole book. when i saw this new edition i was very pleased. Compared to others editions it has more comparative tables so is easier to make diferences between diseases that are alike, also brings new algorithms that makes easier to understand the evolution and what do you spect to find. the chapter of embiogenesis and the part of inmunology in some chapters are also illustrated (the last one does not bring those illustrations. Its true, it cames in three collums, but the letter is big enough for read it, also i prefer that that three o 4 volumes. in comparison of the bologna, this one brings more diseases.
This is the best version of this already great book!!!!

I have relied on this book for years to keep me up to date on the science and practice of dermatology. I was thrilled to be asked to write the chapter on cosmetics and skin care (ch 251) and counted the days until this edition was out. Once my book arrived I went to the website, entered my code and downloaded the book to my laptop. It is UNBELIEVABLE!!! You can search the entire 2 volume book for a search term in seconds. I can carry the book with me on my lap top to grand rounds, conferences and on airplanes. It is now my peripheral brain. Thanks to McGraw Hill for making it even easier on those of us who constantly write a need references at our fingertips. In addition- the illustrations are beautiful. If you are trying to decide whether to chunk your old one and spring for the new one- DO IT!

I have read this book alot during exams,an excellent book,easy to understand,too the point,excellent illustrations. I am a consultant dermatologist from Pakistan I shall be grateful if someone could donate this book for our Library!
Puede mejorar el formato, aumentar los síndromes clásicos.

El hecho de que los volúmenes sean tan grandes empeoran el manejo del mismo. Falta más información sobre síndromes dermatológicos clásicos, fundamentalmente congénitos. La fisiopatología aunque muy amplñia al principio del libro, debería ser más clara y mejor explicada. Falta en los diversos tratamientos que hayan sido contrastados con una medicina basada en la evidencia. No obstante es uno de los libros de dermatología que son imprescindibles para el dermatólogo.
