Desideratum covers the time in Cari's life when she was filled with Desire. She desired to learn and grow in her career, but also desired to have a child. The fall of 2002, Cari started her first teaching job at Guilford Technical Community College. When she suffered a miscarriage in October she became determined to become healthy enough to carry to term. And sure enough, she found herself pregnant again in February of 2003. She quit Barnes and Noble and began working at The Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor in March addition to teaching her second Semester at GTCC. During the summer, she tutored at Sylvan only. Fall, she begins a job teaching Freshman Composition and American Literature at Randolph Community College.
