A Concise and a well written book with lots of examples

This book, Digital Control Using Digital Signal Processing, is a concise text book that describes the basic concepts in DSP and digital control in an easy to understand format. The thing that is really valuable about this book is the numerous examples given through out the book. These examples translate mathematical and obscure concepts into easy-to-understand hands-on problem solving techniques. The chapter on Z-Transforms is really easy to read and understand. Also Chapter 5 discusses basic DSP architectures and architectural differences and links several subjects together. I used Matlab to run some of the examples in the book and found this to be very helpful in understanding the subject. I recommend this book as introductory text to the subject of DSP specifically and digital control in general.
