After reviewing Dinky Dinosaur: Creation Days, I was excited to take a look at Darrell Wiskur's Dinky Dinosaur: Who's my Friend? In this book, we are introduced to Dinky as he hatches out of his egg, and begins his quest to find a friend. He asks his neighbors, aunt, and uncle for help - "how do I find a friend?" They each offer him a piece of advice - "Think of the things you like to do and find someone who likes them, too." He also learns that he should ask his new friend if he would like to play, and smile big to show that he's friendly. Armed with this advice, Dinky sets off and finds a new friend! Like Creation Days, this board book is filled with high quality, colorful illustrations. The story is very readable and the subject matter is great for small children. My one year old likes the pictures and rhyming, and the subject matter is excellent for my shy preschooler! Of the two, I think Creation Days is my favorite, but I'm glad to add this lovely book to our shelf!
