Bought it for my friend's son. I had to read it before I gave it to him. It is so cool! He carried it with him to take to a suggested museum listed in the back. He really has enjoyed it. The fossilized poop is just an added bonus!

This book was for my 9 year old son's birthday! It is great for this age. Lot's of facts and fun trivia.

I teach second grade, and we do a unit on fossils every year. I like having lots of different books about fossils because the children really cannot get enough. And face it, if it's scatalogical, children are fascinated. This book came with a small coprolite (dino poop fossil) so it went right from one student to another without going back on the shelf. The only thing that keeps this book from being a 5-star is that the children were daunted by the small type and number of entries in the book, so they didn't read, they just looked at the pictures. Also, it was illustrated, and I think in many places a photo would have been better. But . . . I'm very glad I got it. It is a great addition to the classroom library.
