We read this book for our Introduction to Philosophy class in college. If you are a beginner to philosophy and are at all interested in the ideas of existence, god, etc, you should find this book a fascinating yet easy to follow introduction to the philosophical world. The basic concepts presented challenge you to reexamine the way you think about everything around you. The one thing I found a little lacking was an objective viewpoint on the author's part when presenting you with the philosophical arguments of great thinkers on different sides of an issue. He clearly favors certain arguments and almost seems to present his preferences as fact, though he definitely gets every argument across well even if he doesn't seem to prefer it. Just take the author's personal preferences with a grain of salt and think for yourself, and you'll find this a wonderful, challenging book.
