Prince Laharl wakes up from a two-year nap only to find his father dead and the Overlord's throne ripe for the taking. I 've played the game. But this story takes place with only parts of the game. The endding is different from the video game. But this book was really quite funny. It's a one book story so it's perfect for on the road.

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of the Disgaea manga when I reserved my copy of Disgaea 2 and needless to say, I was pretty excited to sit down and read it. While it wasn't quite what I expected, it wasn't bad either. The personalities of the characters are pretty much the same (although Laharl does seem a lot more malicious than in the game) but it does suffer from some of the same inconsistancies that you would...
