When Divine Matthews-Hardison left the Hollywood fast lane to live with her aunt and uncle in sleepy Temple, Georgia, she figured she could say good-bye to dating excitement. Who knew she would find a guy she's crazy about in her small-town high school? Madison Hartford is all Divine thinks about...and he's crazy about Divine, too. But when they get "married" at an online wedding site, their friends think they may actually be crazy Is Divine ready for "I do"?
It's not a legal marriage -- more of a role-playing game. But the honeymoon is over when Divine's delicious secret gets out and races around school.... Meanwhile, real wedding bells are ringing for Divine's superstar mother, who's put her painful divorce behind her and found true love. It's all too much for Divine, who's read all about her mom's fianc in the tabloids and thinks her mother is making a big mistake. But it's Divine who has a lot to learn about what it truly means to love someone, heart and soul.
Divine and her boo, Madison , have tied the knot! Calm down, it's not real! However, as she and Madison are basking in the bliss of their honeymoon, the past keeps drudging up plenty of drama. If that isn't enough, Divine learns that she's not the only one with nuptials on the mind as her mom shares the news that Kevin Nash has popped the question. Is Divine ready to share her mom again? Life in Temple, Georgia, may not be as fast, glamorous or loaded with the paparazzi as it was for her in California , but Divine is still making all the news. When people at school find out that she and Madison are married, soon all of the kids in Temple appear to be following suit. What lesson will Divine learn about the power that she possesses? As always little Miss. Hollywood has to learn how to handle life while balancing another heart break, accepting Kevin and Ava as step-parents and realizing that may be she is too young after all for a commitment. DIVINE MATCH-UP is educational as well as amusing and comes with a raving recommendation of course.
Teenage Love

I can always gauge how much I enjoy a book by how quickly I read it. I read Divine-Match Up in less than 24 hours! I could really relate to the story because when I was Divine's age my whole world usually revolved around boys and whoever my current boyfriend was at the time. The book addressed the very important and very real issue of teenagers being pressured into having premarital sex. It also brought to light another potentially serious issue that could have a negative effect on our youth, online marriage ceremonies. Currently it is big in Asia, but it could just as easily become popular here amongst our young people. Even though I am not quite a young adult anymore, I enjoy the books from Divine Series just as much as I enjoy any other book. Keep them coming Jacquelin!
