TV lifestyle expert Bailey Holmes is about to take her show, Domestic Goddess, to the big time. With a major network deal, a new sponsor, and a series of shows featuring her handcrafted DIY wedding, she's poised to become a media darling.

Her life implodes when she discovers her sneaky fianc hooking up with a devious co-worker. Targeted by a vengeful influencer who damages her reputation, Bailey heads to the San Juan Islands and the safety of her family to regroup.

Bailey is grateful when she accepts the offer to renovate the rustic lodge, owned by her family for generations, to save her TV show. The deal comes with one stipulation: Max Cumberland, a local restoration specialist who's already been hired, is part of the deal. And his movie star good looks are made for TV ratings dynamite.

Max Cumberland is a dedicated single dad who's thrilled to renovate a landmark lodge on Horseshoe Island. He's less excited to be working with an amateur renovator who doesn't understand the historical significance of the building.

Despite clashing over plans for the lodge, the couple discovers a sexy sizzle of attraction that quickly goes from simmer to steamy. The network "suits" notice it too, and want to exploit the arguments (banter), teasing and flirting between the co-stars to garner a ratings bonanza, (many of the test audience members suggest Max needs to take his shirt off on every episode.)

Max believes he can ignore the sparks that fly between him and the bossy woman who thinks she's in charge of the project. Bailey fights a red-hot attraction to gorgeous, arrogant, grumpy Max, but when her teasing goes too far, his playful revenge sparks a passion that turns into several hot, lusty interludes.

Bailey is determined to show everyone she can handle the pressures of managing her show, construction and personal life, but one near disaster makes her question her own skills and abilities.

Once the lodge is renovated and the show has finished filming, will there be a chance for the couple to stay together, or will Bailey be off the island for good?
