This is a beautiful and beautifully made book, with a very amusing look at the difference in the way heroes, legends and mythical figures are portrayed depending on their gender. The paintings are stunning by themselves, but the text will have you howling with glee. I don't want to give away what makes this book so original and refreshing, but one browse through it and you'll begin to see what I mean. Edith Vonnegut's whole take on the world is a pure delight. -Terence Boylan
