The comic who's a guy's guy is now a bookseller's dream. The star of ABC's Home Improvement, the #1 show on television, Tim Allen has written the book millions have been awaiting--the naked truth about his outlook on life, love, and lathes. Allen's movie debut this November in The Santa Clause is certain to generate additional media attention. Line drawings.

A Comedic Book Not to Be Taken Too Seriously
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
Tim Allen gives some insight into his own life while treating the reader like just another guy working on the car and telling stories. It's not a serious work, and Tim Allen isn't promoting the degradation of women. He's simply telling jokes that many men in our society can relate to, and I had a lot of fun reading this.
Good

I'm a woman and it was pretty funny...it's a bit offensive at some times but anyone with a good sense of humor will absolutely love it! I always liked Tim Allen and it's a good book from a "man's man" point of view!
The funniest book I have ever read

I first saw Tim Allen on Home Improvement and thought he was great. Then I saw every movie he was in and they were great. I, unfortunately, have not had the chance to see his stand up acts (although i hope to shortly). I bought this book with a little hesitation because of the title. But once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. This book is very frank on his early sexual experiences. (I personally liked the part of the poster). I would not recommend it to the child fan of his tv show because the jokes are either too vulgar for little kids or they may not get them the way they were intended. Anyone else that enjoys uncut humor should buy this book. I guarantee you that you will not regret the decision.
Tim, if you ever read this review,THANKS!

This review is to Tim Allan, his friends and people who may be browsing for a good book. I catagorize books into five slots: Very Bad, Bad, O.K., Good, and Life Changeing. Well, I can safly say that this book changed my life. No B.S. I swear. Before this book, I held a negitive outlook on life. With problems at home and no way to vent my frustrations, I got into trouble, Major trouble. When I was 12 I broke some windows in my Junior High school. A year later, I broke into a house. Before both of these My parents divorced and I bottled my anger until it exploded. But after I read "Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man," I finally felt like I had someone to relate to. I'm sixteen going on seventeen in August. I finally felt like someone out there understood how I felt. I mean, some of the things he said in there sounded like he had picked my brain and taken out my thoughts. I can safly say that this book has something for everyone to relate to and again, thanks Tim, I owe you one!
