Good Hoodoo Book

This is more of a book on Hoodoo, rather than Voodoo -- but that is okay, it is packed full of useful spells and information. Truly one of my favorite books. It is also a pretty book too..... lots of great artwork and information. I particuarly like the information and stories shared within! THe information on baths and the Hoodoo altar is nice! I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed turning the colorful pages of Dr. Snake's book. From the first page I was truly under his spell. I'm not sure if he's pulling the reader's leg with his little whimsical tales, still it doesn't diminish a single bit of the pleasure. But I read each of the tales with a wink of skepticism in one eye and a twinkle of enchantment in the other. My only true complaint is that the book is far too short. Surely a Two-Headed Doctor of his abundant talents could lead us farther down the dark corridors of voodoo. I also believe he wrote the book as more of a homage to his mentor and friend who makes his transition at the end of the book. I would be extremely grateful if the good doctor will grace us once more with his literary presence.

I bought this book after reading the reviews listed on here about Dr. Snakes book. I must say I am glad I spent the money. It was well worth it and I just love the stories. There are a few good spells for money luck. Thats what I was interested in myself. I love the section on playing cards also. I love the stories about selling your soul to the devil to play guitar. Super book! Very neat. I totally recommend. I am buying one for all my soul sisters for X-mas. Dr. Snake write another book!!!!!

i absolutely adore this book!!!It is a bit non-traditional, and may even seem fantasy based..... But it is very inspiring, and i will say from personal experience that some of the spell work in this book hasworked for "me"..........It is simple to understand, enchanting, and keeps you on the edge of your seat..........i read it straight thru =)

Picking this book up out of plain curiosity was one of the best instinctive moves I have ever made. To go along with past experience,the more compact books hold a great deal of information. The Voodoo Spellbook is a prime example. In one easy to understand book Doktor Snake has included folk remedies, spells,potions,a complete list of materials with sources, and to top it off a great storyline with anecdotes. Of course I also made sure to get a copy with a lucky Mojo Doll. Facinating and fun but beware! Your views of reality may widen!
