This one had my kids cracking up - including the 15 year olds that I teach! Dav Pilkey tells a wonderful tale of taking care of a cat - including the cat's "smelly problem". Dragon's interpretation of "litter box", as well as his unique system for naming cats provides many laughs. There are lots of little eyecatchers in Pilkey's fantastic illustrations - look for pig-tail bait, and van Gogh's Starry Night, and the crumpled fender (from Dragon Gets By).
First graders love this book!

As a former first grade teacher, I can tell you that this was a favorite of both children and teacher. The humor, sorrow (when he loses his cat) and joy (when he finds it) made this a book that was chosen over and over.
Wonderful

A wonderful book written from a child's point of view. My 2 year old has been reciting whole pages and it is the most requested book by visiting children to read to them. Very funny to kids and adults. A book I don't mind reading over and over and over. A Must Have !!
