"Dale Brown is a superb storyteller." --W.E.B. Griffin A perennial New York Times bestselling author whom Clive Cussler calls, "The best military writer in the country," the incomparable Dale Brown joins forces once more with coauthor Jim DeFelice for Whiplash --a breathtaking international thriller starring their popular Dreamland team. Brown, who followed up his debut blockbuster Flight of the Old Dog with a remarkable string of hits now plunges the new elite high-tech Whiplash unit into harm's way, as they race to thwart a terrifying plot to unleash nuclear terror and global chaos on the eve of historic reconciliation between the United States and Iran.
Whiplash is a good book which could have been made better if written completely by Dale. Jim DeFelice is a good writer in his own right, but Dale seems to be more technical in his approach to researching his subjects and has a great grasp of military technologies. It's great to see old characters mature and new ones grow. Can't wait for the next one...
Glad to see another one in the series

I was very happy to see that the Dreamland series wasn't over. My favorite characters of the series happened to be the Whiplash guys so this was right up my alley. If you were a fan of all the pilots and flying, this probably isn't for you. This book doesn't leave off right at the last Dreamland book, it instead jumps right into our current year so the characters are a bit older and Dreamland is no more. There's a new gang in town with a few of the old characters thrown in. A few new high tech toys are put to use but personnaly, I think the Dreamland team had better stuff. Overall, I enjoyed the book and hopefully we don't have to wait years for the next one to come out.
