I found this book very helpful. I came to web design as a novice and through the help of this book, succesfully created my web site. This is the perfect book for people who have little web experience and want to get started right away. It's a quick and easy reference for all of the questions that will inevitably arise while designing a site. The online companion site is additionally helpful and when I wrote the author with questions she responded immediately! Who could ask for anything more?Great book. Get it. You'll be happy.

Visual Quickstarts are great. This book not only is a great reference for Dreamweaver 3, but it taught me more about HTML than most "Web Design" books.
I still use it

J. Tarin Tower's VQSG for DW3 is amazing. I'm a novice at web design / authoring and when I picked up this book, I was able to build a professional site in no time. I literally built my first site WHILE I was reading this book. The detailed, step-by-step instructions on each part of this incredible web development tool made it easy to understand and put to use. I highly recomend anyone new to web development and Dreamweaver to buy this book. It's cheap, but the knowledge you will recieve is priceless.
Nice and helpful

This book is easy to understand (and cheap!) and the dozens of pictures make it much, much better than the manual or any web sites about dreamweaver. I read the dreamweaver 2 book and this edition has much more information in it.
