I love this collection of recipes! The author(s) have done a really fine job of choosing wonderful recipes from around the world - a task that must have been difficult with so many fine recipes to choose from. I was especially happy to see recipes from the American South such as jambalaya, calais, red beans and rice, and hoppin john, and I didn't realize there were so many ways to cook rice. The felafel recipe is glorious and so easy. Instructions are clear and the photos mouthwatering, or "toothsome" as they say in New England. This has to one of the best of the TimeLife "Good Cook" series - something you can bite into!
